Home | Absolute Neutrophil Count |
|
Enter the total WBC count, neutrophil %, and band cells %, and press calculate to find the absolute neutrophil count. The formula is ANC = (neutrophil + band)/100 * WBC *1000. Enter the WBC count as reported in the labs, ie 3.3 equals 3,300 white blood cells per cubic millimeter of blood. Absolute neutrophil counts above 1500 are normal, and less than 1500 are considered neutropenic. Neutropenic patients are at higher risk of infection. |
