Pathology - lateral femoral cutaneous nerve compression

Risk factors - obese, tight pants or belts, injury from local surgery, pregnancy.

Symptoms - burning, decreased sensation, numbness on outer thigh

Treatment - adjust belts, loose fitting clothes, weight loss. If refractory, may need gabapentin, nerve block, or steroids.
