Risk - stress, also called stress cardiomyopathy.

Symptoms - chest pain

EKG - ST elevation in anterior leads, deep T wave inversions, q waves, prolonged QT.

Labs - mildly elevated troponin.

Echocardiogram - decreased LV ejection fraction, left ventricular apical ballooning, akinesis, dyskinesis, basal hyperkinesis.

Coronary Angiography - no obstruction.

Treatment - supportive, consider beta-blockers. Recover 4 weeks to 3 months.
